Cristina Aguilera Confirms Pregnancy - On Closer Look
NEW YORK — Christina Aguilera says she is expecting a baby, finally confirming what has become obvious over the past few months.
The 26-year-old singer told Glamour's U.K. edition that her plans for New Year's Eve involve a new baby.
"That'll be about the time I enter into mommyhood so I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!" Aguilera is quoted as saying in a story posted on the magazine's Web site.
E-mails to Aguilera's representatives seeking comment were not immediately returned Monday.
Aguilera and music executive Jordan Bratman were married in 2005.
"Oh, he's thrilled! He's just great," Aguilera said of Bratman. "He's so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system. ... I'm a lucky girl."
Aguilera, who recently wrapped up a world tour in support of her latest album, "Back to Basics," plans to be a working mom.
"I want it get it right, to balance (motherhood) well with my career," she says.

Angelina Jolie - Freedom of Press, on Her Terms
Angelina Jolie's true colors came out Wednesday as she promoted a film about freedom of the press and then tried to censor all her interviews.
Jolie is touting press freedom these days, playing the widow of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in a new movie called "A Mighty Heart."
But Jolie turns out to be a mighty hypocrite when it comes to her own freedom of the press. Her lawyer required all journalists to sign a contract before talking to her, and Jolie instructed publicists at first to ban FOX News from the red carpet of her premiere.
ronically, Wednesday night's premiere of the excellent Michael Winterbottom-directed film was meant to support an organization called Reporters Without Borders. Jolie, however, did everything she could to clamp down on the press and control it.Posted by Progenic at 9:57 AM 0 comments

Is Disney About to Drop 'High School Musical' Star Vanessa Hudgens?
he most popular show in the history of cable television is about to take a big hit, if we can believe a magazine report.
OK! Magazine is reporting that Vanessa Hudgens, one of the stars of the wildly popular "High School Musical" series, is about to be dumped by Disney. We cannot confirm this. Her people are denying it, and Disney is denying it, for now.
But the OK! Magazine report has some logic behind it that somebody is going to have to overcome for me to not believe the reported firing is probably true.
First of all, Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend Zac Efron play a young couple in the "High School Musical" series, which has been a huge hit with people of all ages, but especially young people. This is a TV presentation that parents can sit down and watch with their kids, and not be surprised by any of the things that tend to show up in media aimed at kids these days: sex, nudity, drugs, guns. You know the drill.

Paris Hilton Uses Parties and Panties to Get Political
LOS ANGELES — Paris Hilton’s journey to Rwanda has been put on the backburner, so the party princess has turned her post-prison focus to supporting our troops.
Pop Tarts almost didn’t recognize the “Simple” star as she marched her way on Wednesday night into Las Vegas hotspot LAX in an Army-inspired mini and cap, which she wore as a sign of fondness for our soldiers.
When the wild woman got groovin' on the VIP podium, our spies snitched that Paris "accidentally" paraded her cute camouflage-colored panties, which matched her mini … but hey, we are proud that this particular partier was actually wearing them!
Feeling glamorous and generous, the Halloween heiress decided that she should also show her support to the stars of the sea.
Slipping into a striped sailor suit some minutes later, the former jailbird had “Jail Bait” sequined onto her behind and made Sin City even more spooktacular by singing a bunch of her songs.
However, our hotel hottie was sent her "marching" orders in the wee hours when she suddenly disappeared from the dance floor … reappearing over at a table alongside magic man Criss Angel. The pap-popular pair was popped talking and touching in very close contact.

Michael Jackson Ignores Gossip, Says 'People Are Crazy'
NEW YORK — Michael Jackson knows his reputation as a freak -- but just ignores it.
"I don't pay attention to that," the 49-year-old singer tells Ebony magazine. "In my opinion, it's ignorance. It's usually not based on fact. ... Every neighborhood has the guy who you don't see, so you gossip about him. You see those stories about him, there's the myth that he did this or he did that. People are crazy!"
Jackson, a twice-divorced father of three, says he hasn't changed all that much since releasing his blockbuster album "Thriller" nearly 25 years ago.
"That Michael is probably the same Michael here," he says in the magazine's December issue, on newsstands Monday. "I just wanted to get certain things accomplished first. But I always had this tug in the back of my head, the things I wanted to do, to raise children, have children. I'm enjoying it very much."
Jackson says success "came with a lot of pain."
"When you're on top of your game, when you're a pioneer, people come at you. ... But I feel grateful, all those record-breaking things, to the biggest albums, to those No. 1s, I still feel grateful," says the singer, who has sold more than 750 million albums worldwide.

Jennifer Lopez Announces Pregnancy at Miami Concert
Lopez, who is touring with her husband, Marc Anthony, made the announcement to South Florida concertgoers Wednesday night.
"Marc and I are expecting," the 39-year-old singer told the crowd in Miami. Lopez didn't say when she is due to give birth. After her announcement, Anthony kissed his wife's belly.
"I didn't know she was going to talk," he said.
Last month, Roberto Cavalli, who created free-flowing outfits for Lopez, said the singer was pregnant. Asked what types of clothing he designs for celebrities, Cavalli told People magazine: "Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby."
"It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger," Cavalli said.
